House of Dance / A school headed up by Julie Guile, HOD specialises in Theatre School for children and Burlesque for the adults. The aim of the branding was for it to be exceptionally prominent with all marketing material, vibrant and energetic to represent the classes. With HOD’s target audience of ages 4-50+ the branding had to be simple, clear and bold, with very distinctive typography. The brands logo was to be carried across t-shirts, jumpers and other branded material.
Given that HOD is not the only theatre/dance school in the area, our extensive research into the surrounding competition, gave us great insight into what was going to catch the eyes of younger crowds. HOD is now exceptionally recognised across the region, with even his Royal Highness Prince Charles, making comment on the logo when he visited Julie and her gang on a tour of Chester.
